Is iPhone 6 Inspired by Nexus 4

Apple’s iPhone 6 is already out among consumers for a few days now and it has been met with effusive praise from the tech press and long queues wherever it is sold.

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has earned a lot of praise for the design and the technology that has been integrated within it using IOS 8. However, there is another side to it; the design of the much appreciated iPhone 6 might not be as original as one would think it to be. A group of tech experts in the industry is speaking against the originality of the design and features that might be copied from Android phones.

It has been just a while that the latest iPhones have been launched but already critics have started to analyze it and speak against it. If news coming from various corners is to be believed, there is uproar about the design of the iPhone 6 that seems to be much similar in feature as well as design of Nexus 4. The biggest thing to notice here is that Apple has always been an advocate and an aggressive supporter of patent lawsuits. It has been many times in war with Samsung for copying its iPhone technology and features.

One such example for iPhone 6 is that of its features, especially the features incorporated in iOS 8 seem to be more like Android First features. Another thing is about the sizing factor, as much as Samsung has been incorporating bigger designs and other Android OEMs have also been adapting to bigger sizes, Apple seem to follow the same.

The Nexus 4 measuring 4.7-inch in display with a resolution of 760p carries many attractive features like such as third party keyboards, action notification widgets, cloud picture backup, cross-app communication and battery power. These seem to be incorporated in the new iPhone or the iPhone 6.

Apple has been in constant argument with Samsung over design and the feud fetched Apple makers an amount of $929 million with the jury verdict that went in its favor regarding patent case. It was made clear then that Samsung has infringed the designs that were patented by Apple and used in graphical icons by Samsung. Samsung lost and had to even give away profits from its products that were claimed to be similar to Apple designs.

After all that has been said and done both Samsung and Apple are trying to call it truce with outside court settlement. After calling off 40 separate patent cases outside U.S. however, the verdict is still awaited involving a settlement of $1 billion.

Whatever has been going on, it is clear that once Apple has been accusing Samsung for a design rip-off now it seems other way. If sources are to be believed this time, Apple might just have copied Samsung. However, nothing officially has been reported by the projected victim company so everything seems well as of now. After all rumors are just rumors unless they are verified and found true.
