Every week many new apps touching various facets hit Windows app store. As users, we are always excited about the newly launched apps. In fact, it has become a kind of to-do task for the smartphone users to check out the newly released apps for every week, so that they can have some something new and exciting on their phone.

1.       Wunderlist

We all maintain a to-do list to ensure that we successfully keep a check of every important thing in our tight schedule. Wunderlist is one of the best apps on Windows for this week. It is a to-do list and task application, which is now available for the beta version for Windows. To use this app, you need to sign-in using a Windows account. The app is very easy and comfortable to use upon. 

Here you can categorize your tasks and also include sub-tasks. You can set reminders, notes, comments, and attach files to it. With single tap or click, you can term the tasks as your favorite tasks and it will get displayed under the category labeled ‘Favorites.’ Another interesting feature of this app is that you can make the task public from within the app by assigning public URL to it. Anyone aware of this URL can easily access the task shared. Moreover, you can invite other users to the task you have created.

2.       Pet Run


Pet Run, as suggested by the name, is also a running game app but it is quite different from the regular running games like Temple Run or Minion Rush. Here instead of moving right-left or up-down you get to perform a lot many activities to keep your pet (a cat) running. You can rotate the screen so that your character catch extras scattered on the way or pass obstacles. The game’s interface also has a different appeal because of its 3D component, because of which you get a bird’s eye view of the game. 

3.       Devi8t for DeviantArt


Artists all across the world can become part of a virtual community by joining Devi8t for DeviantArt. This new Windows app is a social network platform dedicated to the artists. Here the members can showcase their work to others and view others drawings, wallpapers, themes and art work. However, there is no option of interacting within the app, means you can’t leave a comment. The app just lets you browse or upload the work of other artists under different categories that makes browsing of the popular creations easy. On clicking on the art (painting, wallpaper, etc) it will open large on the screen. However, you can’t download the work of other artists through this app. 

4.       Cataline Mini


Cataline Mini is the limited preview version of the popular game Cataline, which is available for $2.49 in the Windows App store. The main goal of this game is to chuck a cat so that it gets landed in the fishbowl. It can be grouped with the genre of games like Angry Birds. The design of the game is very colorful and vibrant. It appears as if the levels of the game, means the backdrop of the game are made of fabric, yarn, and wool. 

5.       Atmosphere 

 Atmosphere is a weather-related app, which is available for $0.99 however there is a free trial version available for both Windows 8 and Windows Phone. The app let you add multiple locations for which you can get the complete weather reports like current weather information, weather forecasts, storm warnings, etc.
